Terms of Service

Effective date: June 6, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of PaidUp (the "Service"), a product operated by Sidebar Technologies ("we," "us," or "our"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. What PaidUp is — and is not

PaidUp is a self-help document preparation tool. It generates demand letters and related documents from information you provide. PaidUp is not a law firm, is not a substitute for an attorney, and does not provide legal advice. Using the Service does not create an attorney-client relationship. Laws vary by jurisdiction and situation; for advice about your specific circumstances, consult a licensed attorney.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Service.

3. Your documents

You are responsible for the information you enter and for reviewing every document before you use or send it. The documents you generate are yours to use for your own lawful purposes. You are responsible for ensuring that any document you send is accurate, appropriate to your situation, and compliant with applicable law.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to create or send any communication that is unlawful, harassing, defamatory, fraudulent, or that threatens unlawful action (for example, threatening criminal prosecution to collect a civil debt). You agree to comply with all applicable laws, including debt-collection laws that may apply to you.

5. Payments

PaidUp is offered as one-time purchases at the prices shown at checkout. Payments are processed by our payment provider, Stripe; we do not store your full card details. All fees are in U.S. dollars. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.

6. No warranties

The Service and all documents are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that any document will achieve a particular result, be accepted by any recipient or court, or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sidebar Technologies and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the twelve months before the claim.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Sidebar Technologies from any claims, losses, or expenses arising out of your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Sidebar Technologies is established, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.
